Hello from our teachers and students

Respect, Responsibility and Kindness

Hello from Room 8,

We are in the middle of a very exciting term. We have already enjoyed a fantastic day out at the Kyabram Fauna Park. Grade One students are looking forward to our sleepover tonight, Foundation students are happy knowing they will get to Stay & Play in December and enjoy dinner with the teachers and next week we are off swimming at Eaglehawk Pool.

During Maths, we have been exploring measurement. We have measured the length of objects in the room. We have compared different objects to find items that are longer, shorter or the same length. We have included some photos of measuring the tails for the kites we made. We needed 3 tails on our kites; one as long as our table, one longer than the table and one shorter than the table.

Every week we visit the school library for reading, browsing and borrowing books. It is one of our favourite parts of our school week. We enjoy a story as a class and then spend time enjoying a book by ourselves or with a friend.

We have been leaning about Australian animals and had a fabulous time at the Kyabram Fauna Park. We have been writing information reports about some of the different animals we saw during our visit. Did you know a baby echidna is called a puggle? And did you know that echidnas can swim?
