YCS' St Luke's Solved:

"YCS' St Luke's Solved," is the first-ever podcast by our passionate leaders of YCS at St. Luke's Catholic College. In "YCS' St Luke's Solved," our remarkable young minds delve into crucial social justice issues prevailing in today's society and reveal how St. Luke's YCS is actively addressing them. This podcast is a beacon of inspiration, highlighting the collective efforts of students who are committed to making a difference.

But that's not all; you can also expect updates on current school events, making this podcast a hub of information for all things happening at St. Luke's Catholic College.

And there's also an exciting opportunity for creative contributors! The YCS leaders are on the lookout for podcast script writers, hosts, and editors! If you've got a passion for storytelling, social justice, or podcast production, this is your chance to be part of something remarkable.

The inaugural episode, originally scheduled for the first week of school, has been delayed, but it's more than worth the wait. It serves as a captivating summary of the happenings in week one and sets the tone for what's to come in "YCS' St Luke's Solved."

YCS’ participation in the Youth Leadership Summit:

The YCS leaders from St Luke's Catholic College presented their ideas on inclusion, diversity, and belonging to government and community leaders at the Together for Humanity Foundation Youth Leadership Summit at the Parliament of NSW. The students were able to hear directly from NSW Premier Chris Minns on how they can be agents for positive change in our rapidly changing world. This incredible opportunity has sparked their interest in a future career in government and the importance of student voice. Special thanks to Mrs Campanale for giving this opportunity to our YCS leaders.

Liturgy

Finally,Term 4 is here!!

With this in mind, there are many things to give thanks for at the end of the year, but also many graces that we need to safely end the term. St Luke’s Feast Day was a perfect opportunity to pray through the intersession of our Patron for our school community and their families.  Furthermore, students had the opportunity to learn more about who Saint Luke was and how he served his community. Students discovered that St. Luke was an evangelist and the patron of painters and physicians. He is the author of the third Gospel and the Acts of the Apostles. Students were also able to join in a special prayer to ask for Luke’s intercession. This prayer was distributed to each student in a small card for them to share with their families. Please refer to the prayer below:

Prayer to St Luke

St. Luke, you were chosen to revealin preaching and writingGod’s love for the poor.

Moved by the heavenly Spirit of Love, you detailed the life of Jesus, showing His divinity and His genuinecompassion for all human beings.

In your gospel, you show us the beauty of holiness.

Help us to reflect the image of Christ in the way we live our lives.

Help those who already glory in God’s nameto persevere in one heart and one mind, and inspire all people that they mayhear the Good News of Salvation.
