CSEN Rally Day
Monday 30 November was the final rally day for the year, with CSEN finishing it off with the Intermediate (Year 9/10) Football Fives and Mixed Netball Sporting days.
MECS entered 2 teams in each sport and we saw a lot of high skill throughout the day from all teams. In the boys football fives, both the A & B teams made it all the way to the semi final to unfortunately fall at this hurdle with the A team losing on penalties. Both teams enjoyed the day and displayed consistency and teamwork throughout the day.
The girls football fives teams went one step better and both made the grand final. Not only was the team work a highlight, but the skill on display was of high quality. The A team although making the grand final, lost, however, the B team played a strong grand final and managed to win Division 2.
Our mixed Netball teams had mixed results. Both teams worked hard all day and continued to give their best efforts on the courts. The A team had a really good day and got so close finishing 3rd whilst the B team unfortunately did not reach finals contention but had a good day and all represented the school well.
Well done to all involved! We look forward to what 2024 holds for the sporting program here at MECS and our involvement in CSEN.
