Capital Works:
Thank you to the staff who attended the Yaluk Planning meeting last Friday. It was great getting feedback from staff who are actually working with secondary students. We will have another meeting 10th November at 3.20 pm. Hopefully staff who will be working in those rooms will attend as well as any other interested staff.
The next walk through for staff will be on Friday 17th November at 3.15pm - meet near the entry gate to the staff carpark. All staff are welcome.
The sensory room (OT room) has started to be lined with robust sheets of board. The thickness of the board makes it more challenging for installation.
The loose furniture list is being compiled. I do need input from the secondary staff about the tables to purchase. Currently we are considering different shaped tables that allow for more collaborative learning. Below are trapezoid tables (white) which are flexible to be moved into a range of configurations and "shield" tables which are less flexible. Please provide any feedback to Denise asap.
We are looking at lockers similar to those below. Room 25 and 26 will have their lockers in the corridor but room 27 will house theirs in their room. The colours selected to fit into the colour scheme are Pale eucalypt, Satin white and White birch.
Facility News
Playground 1 was given a face lift last weekend. Softfall and sand were added to the playground and the corner near the parent carpark was tidied up.
