Highlights on Heights Campus

Last Thursday our SLC students went on an excursion to Healesville Sanctuary. The weather was rather warm, but the students demonstrated exemplary behaviour and represented SRPS beautifully! While walking around the amazing bushland they saw many Australian animals such as: platypus, dingoes, koalas and the 'Birds in Flight' show.

Reading Buddies and Breakfast Club: Did you know that we invite our students to engage in extra reading by coming along to the Art Room every Tuesday and Friday from 8.30am - 8.50am so that they can read with a buddy? F - 2 students can bring their take-home folder and read their books to a friend or to an older student; or anyone can come along to read together in the cosy space. You may like to have breakfast in the Hub if you didn’t get time to eat at home (parents welcome as well), then pop in to read a book! We hope to see lots of children and parents reading together!

As Dr Suess says:

The weather was very warm last Friday which was perfect for students who were enjoying their Zooper Doopers! It was also a beautiful day for students to have their lunch outdoors. 1/2C enjoyed eating their lunch under our new shade sails near the hall while some MLC students enjoyed their icypoles in the sun and soaked up some vitamin D!

World Teacher’s Day: From all the students, parents, Education Support Staff, the Principal Team and our Springvale Rise Community; we hope our teachers had a wonderful World Teacher’s Day! We are very lucky to have amazing teachers at our school who always work so hard to be the best for our students!

THANK YOU TO ALL OUR SRPS TEACHERS!

Hope all our families have a lovely week.
