IMAX Excursion-Years 1 & 2

As a follow-up to our Term 1 learning on minibeasts, students in grades 1 & 2 visited IMAX at the Melbourne Museum this week to watch BUGS in 3D. This immersive experience  offered a close-up look at the fascinating world of insects and their important role in ecosystems. Watching bugs on the big screen in such vivid detail  sparked curiosity and discussion around the amazing adaptations and behaviours of these tiny creatures.

BUGS: MIGHTY MICRO MONSTERS 3D. From the Kenyan savannah to the tropical rainforests of North East Australia, the superpowers of some mighty micro monsters are revealed. Students came face to face with some of the natural world’s most incredible creatures - the beetle that can fire boiling chemicals at its attackers, a deadly spider with super strength and many more miniature superheroes. With help from top entomologists, this film brings the incredible and sometimes fearsome world of bugs to life.
