We acknowledge the Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung People of the Kulin nation; past, present and those who will walk with us into the future. We acknowledge the rich and unique cultural and spiritual relationships to the land, waters and seas, educational practices and the hopes of all First Nations Peoples. We do this in the spirit of reconciliation as we move to a place of justice and partnership - together we work, learn, play and care for one another and this land.
Dear Families, next Tuesday 20th May we will hold our annual Open Night. This will be held from 5:30-7:00pm and we invite current and prospective families to come to school and participate in educational activities around the school.
Once again, we will have a passport competition where students get stamps as they visit different classes around the school and can then go in the draw to win a free lunch order.
We hope to see you all there.
I hope that all the mothers and carers in our school community had a lovely Mother's Day on Sunday.
It was great to see so many come to celebrate at our Foundation Mother's Day Breakfast on Friday, and of course, I would like to thank the P&F for once again running a fantastic Mother's Day Stall.
Thank you so much to everyone who volunteered to help at the Election Day BBQ or baked a cake for the Cake Stall. It was a really fun day and was a great success. We sold out of all our sausages, bought more and then sold out of those as well.
The BBQ made a profit of $1705.40 and the cake stall $611.50. This is a great result and the funds will support resources for all of our students.
A heartfelt thank you to those who have already contributed to our school’s voluntary fees. Your support directly enhances the learning experience for all students.
These contributions help fund vital programs and resources not covered by the Department of Education, such as:
Every contribution, big or small, makes a meaningful difference in enriching your child’s school experience. If you haven’t yet had a chance to contribute, we welcome your support at any time. Payments can be made via Compass.
Thank you for being a part of our school community and for investing in the future of our children.
A reminder notice will go out later this week to families who have not yet made a contribution.
The 12th May marked Fibromyalgia Awareness Day, an important opportunity to shed light on a condition that affects millions of people worldwide, many of whom appear outwardly “fine” but silently live with persistent pain and fatigue.
Fibromyalgia is a chronic condition that affects the nervous system, amplifying how the brain processes pain signals. It is considered an invisible disability—meaning that although those affected may not use mobility aids or appear physically unwell, their symptoms can significantly impact daily functioning and wellbeing.
Invisible illnesses, including fibromyalgia, teach us that we can’t always know what someone is going through just by looking at them. A smile can mask pain, and a calm demeanor can hide exhaustion.
This awareness day reminds us of the importance of empathy, understanding, and kindness in our school community.

This Saturday the 17th May is Internation Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia, Intersexism, and Transphobia.
As a school that has values that include Kindness and Respect, we strongly stand against all forms of discrimination and our aim is that we have a world where we treat everyone else with love and kindness.
On Saturday 17th May, we have asbestos works as part of our roof renewal project. We ask that no one come on the school grounds on Saturday.
