As Term 2 progresses, so too does the important process of Reporting Season! Our dedicated teaching staff are now actively engaged in preparing and writing academic reports for all year levels, from Year 7 through to Year 12.
Leading the way were our Year 12 students, whose Semester 1 (Half-Yearly) Reports were released this week on Monday. Looking ahead, the final reporting activity for this semester will be the Parent/Student/Teacher Conferences for Years 7-9, scheduled for early in Term 3. This article will provide you with a clear overview of the reporting schedule and key information for all year levels.
Reports for Years 10, 11, and 12
This year, the Senior Reports encompass Years 10, 11, and 12, and we've already seen the release of the Year 12 Semester 1 reports. These are now accessible for download via the "Reports" tab on Compass.
We've listened carefully to feedback from our parents and guardians and are pleased to announce the reinstatement of the individual Teacher Comment on these reports. Recognising that the previous system of regular written feedback on Assessment Tasks via Compass was sometimes missed by parents/guardians due to its irregular timing, we've returned to providing a summary comment at the end of each subject report.

Furthermore, all reports for Years 10, 11, and 12 will now feature an assessment of five Approaches to Learning (ATL). These new criteria, being implemented across all diocesan schools, provide insight into your child's effort and learning styles:
Approaches to Learning:
Each of these is assessed on a four-point scale: Highly Proficient, Proficient, Developing Proficiency, and Not Yet Demonstrated.
Reports for Years 7, 8, and 9
The reports for our Year 7 to 9 students will maintain a similar format to previous years, including a grade for each subject and an assessment of the new diocesan Approaches to Learning outlined above. The previous Approaches to Learning framework has now been replaced by these consistent diocesan-wide measures.
Parent/Student/Teacher Conferences
Following the release of each set of reports, we will be holding Parent/Student/Teacher Conferences. These valuable seven-minute meetings offer a dedicated time for students, parents/guardians, and teachers to discuss the student's learning journey and progress in each subject.
This year, we have combined the Year 11 and 12 conferences into a single evening. These face-to-face conferences will be held in the Performing Arts Centre on Monday, June 2nd, from 3:40 pm to 7:00 pm. This provides a crucial opportunity to connect directly with your child's teachers. Booking instructions for these conferences will be sent to you via a Compass notification on May 26th.
