Welcome everyone back for Term 2! It's been a busy start with school sports, class photos, and new topics sparking curiosity in the classroom. Students have shown great enthusiasm and teamwork across all areas.

We’re looking forward to another great term of learning, growth, and memorable experiences.

Year 8 Camp

Year 8 camp planning is underway. This year, students will be embarking on a new camp expereince for Year 8 students at Phillip Island Adventure Resort in Term 3, between the Monday 11th and Wednesday 13th of  August.

This camp will allow the students to develop leadership skills, build new friendships, challenge themselves in numerous situations, see their peers in a different light and step outside their comfort zone.

The cost of the camp is $465, which is significantly cheaper than previous camps run at Year 8. Payment plans, CSEF and School Saving Bonus can be used to pay for this camp.

Further details and consent will be avilable on Compass in the coming weeks.

Year 8 KPA (Kurnai Positive Acknowledgments) Goals

I would like to promote the continued fantastic start our students have made towards their learning. We understand the importance of celebrating the positive success our students demonstrate every day. This can mean showing improvement in the learning or behaviour right the way through to our high-end academic achievers. As you can see below the numbers of our positives are extraordinary and I encourage you to continue the conversations you are having at home about the positive choices our learners are showing every day. Last term the students displayed the highest recorded KPA’s and we are all so proud of the hard work and commitment they all bring to each class.
