At our first assembly for this term we presented some very special merit awards – certificates acknowledging all the families and businesses who have significantly contributed to our major PA events of Term 3 – Mid-Year Parent Event and Dreamers Football. Students had the important role of going home and shaking mum or dad’s hand to say thank you for your generosity!

🎅Our much-anticipated Brighton Beach Primary Christmas Community Fair is coming up fast, and we need everyone’s help to make it the best one yet!

🎁 Donations needed! By the end of this week, every classroom will have a donation box. We’re asking for contributions from all families to help with our Lucky Jars and our Silent Auction Hampers — both huge crowd favourites every year!

🫙 Lucky Jars- Collect some empty jars - any size will suit as long as it has a lid and fill with some goodies - nut free sweets, small toys, lego , stationary, hair and body accessories, toy cars, balls and things older grades will also enjoy. Decorate your jar and then bring to the collection box in your classroom. Please ensure that the jar is clean and the contents are safe for children.  

🧴 Prep – Grade 3: Homewares, self-care & beauty products such as serving ware, towels, candles, lotions, yoga or spa vouchers, etc.

🍫 Grade 3 – Grade 6: Gourmet non-perishable food items like chocolates, teas, crackers, jams, chutneys, restaurant vouchers, or cheese boards — anything to make our hampers look amazing!

🍾 All year levels: Wine or champagne donations are very welcome! Please take these directly to the office (not classroom boxes) and label with your class code so we can count them.

🏆 The class with the most donations wins a pizza party at the end of term!

We have lots of sponsorship options available — if you or someone you know has a local business that might like to get involved, we’d love to hear from you! If your family or  a group of parents are keen to sponsor a ride, stall or activity please reach out to Lynne Donnelly at lynne@aerdesign.com.au by Friday 17th  Oct. Every contribution helps make this event a success.

🙌 Volunteers Needed! This is a huge community event, and we’ll need lots of hands to make it fun and smooth for everyone. Class reps will be sharing your grade specific event details and sign-up sheets soon — but if you’d like to take on a bigger role or help the committee, please reach out!🎉 Spread the word! This fair is for everyone, not just BBPS families — so please share the flyer with friends, local groups, or anyone who’d love to join in the Christmas fun! The DUNK TANK is back, and we are looking for nominations. Keep an eye out for sign up sheets out the front of classrooms. Students and community members can nominate adults (teachers or unsuspecting parents) to have a turn in the tank! All nominees are asked to tick their nomination if they are brave enough to accept the challenge. What a fun way to laugh and cheer, stay cool and raise money for our wonderful school.
