 Specialist Feature News - Visual Art

Selamat Siang semuanya, 

Welcome to Term 4! 

In the Senior School our 5/6 students have started drafting and planning their graduation bears and plushies for our textile unit this term. They have also had fun creating abstract Matisse inspired artworks! The 3/4 students managed to fit in a holiday reflection artwork before they set off to camp and are looking forward to getting started on their foam print designs for our printmaking unit.

In the Junior School, Foundation students have been exploring pattern using different materials to make puzzle pieces as part of a collaborative artwork. After creating a holiday reflection artwork, the 1/2 students have started to look at the work of American artist Jen Stark. They are using her work as inspiration to create their own drip artworks that will explore colour, pattern and shape.

As we move forward into our final term, all classes will be creating a collaborative class artwork to showcase at the Pleasant Day Out. Keep an eye out for more information closer to the date on where you can view these works and how you could have an opportunity to take your child's class artwork home!
