Year 6

Changemakers
This term in our Endeavour program, students will embrace the role of being ‘Changemakers’ by undertaking individual or small group projects that will empower them to use their skills to make a real, positive difference in the world and their community. Students will choose from three powerful project options to lead their learning, giving them autonomy and a real voice in shaping their Endeavour experience:
Make a Difference Market: Creating a market event that supports community causes
Upcycle For Impact: Transforming, fixing or repurposing materials to reduce waste and raise awareness of sustainability
Campaign For Change: Designing and running campaigns to promote an important social or environmental cause they feel passionately about
This learning experience will inspire students to become changemakers themselves - they will use what they’ve learned this year; challenging themselves, helping others and building their personal capacity to take action on issues they care about. Along the way, they’ll learn the power of taking initiative to create real and positive change in the community, no matter your age or stage in life.
Bike Education
This term, our students are taking part in the Bike Education program. They are learning about different types of road intersections and how to navigate them safely. Throughout the program, students are building their confidence and developing their cycling skills through a range of fun and practical activities. To finish the term, students will put their new knowledge into action by taking part in an exciting group ride outside of school.
We would also like to extend a big thank you to Jeremy from Mornington Cycles for checking all of our bikes and carrying out any maintenance needed to keep them safe and ready to ride!
