Welcome to Term 4!

Welcome back everyone to the final school term of 2025. We only saw a glimpse of a couple of warm and sunny days over the break - surely there will be more on the way very soon. As you can see in our list of important dates above, there certainly is lots ahead to look forward to. We can’t wait to kick into the learning and fun this term at Scotsburn!

Celebration of Learning Evening

Our Celebration of Learning Evening at the end of last term was another huge success. We had fantastic attendance and it was great to see everyone come along and experience the learning and fun all children are engaging in at school. Thank you everyone for your commitment and support of this very important event on our calendar.

Holiday Painting

Over the break we had some small painting jobs completed. We had the front section of the exterior of the double portable painted, as well as the south side of the old building painted. These spaces look fresh and new for the upcoming spring and summer period.

During the upcoming summer break, we will also be getting some of our pathways reconcreted, which will be a wonderful job to get completed leading into 2026.

Scotsburn Assembly

We will have our first Scotsburn assembly this Friday in the shed at 3:00pm. With lots of events coming up, it will be great to share some information and kick off the term in style.

Scotsburn Sleepover

This year we have decided to have our Scotsburn Sleepover earlier in the term, as it certainly gets quite busy closer to the end of the year. The sleepover is always one of the favourite events of the year, fostering team building, cooperation, problem solving as well as building a sense of community.

We will hold our sleepover on Thursday and Friday of Week 4 - 30 October - 31 October.

We will send out a compass event in the coming week however, here are some details below, to assist in preparation:

This year students will go home after school to gather their belongings, have dinner and prepare for the sleepover. Students are invited to return to school at 6:30pm for a night of activities and a light supper. Breakfast, snacks and lunch will be provided for the following day.

Students will need to bring the following:

  • Sleeping bag and pillow
  • Mattress
  • Pyjamas
  • Toiletries
  • Clothes for the following day (casual dress - suitable attire, closed shoes, no singlets)
  • Water bottle

We will provide some additional information on the Compass event as well as in the coming weeks’ newsletters. We can’t wait!

Colour Run

The Colour Run is creeping up on us - Friday of Week 3. For Scotsburn students, we will aim to spend the day at the Buninyong campus, given that we also have a whole school assembly on that day. Please keep an eye out in the whole newsletter and on Compass for more information about the colour run event, including details about appropriate clothing and requirements on the day.

2026 Scotsburn Enrolments

If you know any families that are looking to enrol their child/children for 2026 (or in the foreseeable future), please complete an enrolment form and submit it to the office at Buninyong. If you have any questions, please email Jarrod at jarrod.morgan@education.vic.gov.au

For those considering enrolment at our beautiful campus, the video below is a great snapshot of what we have to offer:

Scotsburn Intercampus Travel

At times, Scotsburn students will be transported between campuses in order to attend classes, assemblies, special days and events. On most occasions, transport required through the day will be by bus and occasionally private car for smaller groups of students. Parents may be asked to drop off or collect from the Buninyong campus if sessions are at the beginning or ending of a day.

We will always let you know of any upcoming travel arrangements via our newsletter, Compass, or via phone for smaller, more specific travel arrangements.

If you ever have any questions or concerns regarding intercampus travel, please contact your child’s teacher.
