From the Principal

Dear Parents,

Farewell to 2025!

Thank you to all our families for their wonderful support and willingness to work in partnership with us for the benefit of all students in 2025.  Our dedicated staff have done an amazing job this year and I know they will appreciate the time to recuperate and recharge the batteries for 2026.

We also welcomed Fr Jacob halfway through the year and we again look forward to maintaining and building the strong connection between the school and parish, and in particular, the school as part of the parish.

On your behalf we wish Fr Jacob and all our staff a joyous and restful holiday period.

Thanks to Fr Jacob, Dash Thevarajah, Robin and Elaine Archibald, Tammi Tran, Adrian Ng, Rex Kuo and Joe Thomas for their very supportive and helpful advice as part of the School Advisory Council.

Likewise a big thank you to Elaine who was also our Parent Association Chair.  Our school has been enormously supported by association members Nisha D'Souza, Jennifer La, Melissa Quezada, Shanika Suwaris, Dilini Fonseka, Rachel Gillespie, Divya Vijayarangam, Sankari Parvathinathan, Sumana Thevarajah and Tomi Babalola who acted as secretary. There is a long list of parents who also assisted throughout the year and we named and recognised them at the PA Christmas Celebration last Friday afternoon.  I encourage others to join and support the Parent Association in 2026.

Prep Nativity and Christmas Carols

It was both moving and fun to see our youngest students performing the Christmas Nativity story for the whole school.  I was amazed at how students of this age were so accomplished by remembering their lines and moving on stage with such precision.  Well done Preps!!

Each class performed a Christmas Carol and it was lovely to see the audience joining in with the singing.  You can view a video of each class' Christmas Carol by clicking here or the image below.

Parent Association Christmas Celebration and Raffle

Thanks to our wonderful PA who provided numerous stalls and a great raffle for all to enjoy.  Our PA members sourced many fantastic prizes from generous local businesses and there was lots of excitement as names were drawn.  There was further Christmas cheer when Santa visited and shared loads of treats for the very eager children who were delighted by his presence.  At the event we thanked all those that have contributed throughout the year.  A special thanks to those parents that assisted to make it possible and Sumana Thevarajah for coordinating the whole event.

Dates for the start of the 2026 School Year

Please note all students will undergo testing to start next year beginning on Wednesday January 28.  Due to the different levels of testing that needs to be undertaken, there is a staggered start for different year levels in the following days.  Please see the Calendar page and Dojo messages for specific details, as you will need to book testing times.

I wish for all our wonderful families a safe and enjoyable Christmas.  These summer holiday periods can create many memories and traditions for families, so I hope that you and your loved ones are able to enjoy all the blessings of the season.  I look forward to welcoming you all in 2026 and to another wonderful year to live, love and learn with faith as our foundation.
