Staff Announcements

We have several wonderful milestones and achievements to celebrate within our team:

  • Welcome back to Brendan Purcell, following parental leave after the arrival of baby Freddie.
  • Congratulations to Paul Wickham on the recent birth of baby Jack, born last Friday.
  • Warm congratulations to Rachael Tabb, who is expecting a baby in March next year.
  • Congratulations to Yvette Egonidis, who has been appointed to a Wellbeing/Foundation Teacher position at Research Primary School for 2026. This is a fantastic opportunity for Yvette to further develop her skills and passion for student wellbeing and early years education. We will miss her greatly, but are thrilled to see her take on this exciting role.

We extend our best wishes to all staff members and their families during these exciting times.

Thank you to everyone for your kind messages and well wishes regarding my new appointment. I have now confirmed a start date in January 2026, which means I will finish off the school year at Monty. The process to appoint my replacement will begin shortly — we will keep you updated as this plays out.

World Teachers’ Day

On Wednesday we celebrated World Teachers’ Day, and I want to take a moment to personally acknowledge and thank our exceptional team of teachers. I feel so fortunate to work alongside such dedicated, passionate, and talented professionals who give so much of themselves to our students every single day. The commitment, care and creativity of our Monty teachers make this school such a special place to be.

So, a big shout-out and heartfelt thank you to each and every one of our teachers — you truly make a difference.

2025 School Peformance Report

Each October, the Department of Education analyses data and compiles a School Performance Report for every school. These reports provide an overview of each school’s performance across key areas, with a particular focus on student learning and wellbeing.

We’re incredibly proud to share a snapshot below of Montmorency Primary School’s 2025 School Performance Report. The results reflect the dedication of our staff, the hard work of our students and the strong partnership we share with our families — together creating a thriving, high-achieving learning environment.
