Term 4 Volunteers – New Process Reminder
As we head into a busy and exciting part of the term with camps, excursions, and a new season of school basketball underway, we want to take a moment to thank all the wonderful volunteers who support our students in so many ways. Whether you're helping in classrooms, joining us on excursions, coaching or managing basketball teams, or assisting behind the scenes, your contribution is deeply valued.
As mentioned in previous newsletters, all schools across the Sandhurst Diocese are now following a new system-wide process for engaging volunteers. This updated process ensures that we continue to uphold the highest standards of child safety and wellbeing.
To volunteer at our school, all individuals must complete the following steps:
Volunteer Registration Form – available on the school website.
Volunteer Referee Form – ask two referees to complete this form, also found on the school website.
Volunteer Induction Module – allocated to you after registration (this module replaces the previous onsite induction interview). This includes reading and acknowledging:
The Child Safe Code of Conduct
The Staff & Student Professional Boundaries Policy
The CESL Photography & Video Policy
We understand that many of our current volunteers have completed earlier processes, but we kindly ask all volunteers to complete this new system to ensure consistency and compliance.
For more information or to begin the process, please visit our school website or contact Luke Freeman - lfreeman@sfstrathfieldsaye.catholic.edu.au
Thank you for helping us create a safe, welcoming, and vibrant school community!
Regards,
Luke Freeman
