Diocesan Summer Sports
Next week we have over 25 students travelling to Dubbo to trial for a variety of Summer Sports (Softball, Cricket, Basketball, Tennis and Touch) to see if they can be selected for Diocesan teams for 2026. We wish the all the very best in this endeavour.
Intensive Swimming - Year 1 and 2
As mentioned in week 4's newsletter we are once again this year having intensive swimming with our Stage 1 students in week 9. Parents please make sure permission notes have been returned as soon as possible so that we can move forward with the program.
We would also like to thank our wonderful PACE committee for subsidising some of the costing around this event. Without their support we would not be able to do this life skill with our students. It is greatly appreciated.
Infants Athletics Carnival – A Wonderful Day at Waratahs!
Our Infants Athletics Carnival at Waratahs was a fantastic success, blessed with beautiful weather and filled with energy, excitement, and enthusiastic participation from all students. Our young athletes took part in a range of fun and engaging activities designed to build the fundamental movement skills they will use in the Primary Athletics Carnival in the years ahead.
A big thank you to our dedicated teachers for their help to ensure we such an enjoyable and well-run event, and to the many parents who came along to cheer on the children. Your support helps make days like this truly special.
We would also like to acknowledge our Year 5 students, who displayed exceptional leadership and kindness as they guided and encouraged the younger students. Their positive example helped make the day run smoothly and ensured everyone felt supported.
A special thank you goes to our those parents that helped and in particular the elderly gentleman who generously assisted with setting up on the day — your contribution was greatly appreciated.
Well done to all the children for their amazing effort, wonderful sportsmanship, and joyful participation. What a great day for our school community!
