FROM THE CLASSROOM

Hello Year 4 Families,

Just a reminder with Camp approaching, there will be more information coming out for families in the following weeks. Thank you to the families that have returned the camp medical forms and code of conduct forms.  If you still haven’t, please could you attend this. Also, a reminder with the weather becoming colder is a good idea to have a spare change of clothes in your child’s school bag in case they need it. 

We have lots of things that we’ve enjoyed during week 4 of Term 2. Some of the things students have enjoyed so far have been:

• Inquiry because  we got to code online.
• Maths because I’ve used a ruler to measure and work out the area of shapes.
• Reading because I like reading 'The Wild Robot'.

• We are learning to identify new and interesting words, find the main idea and summarise chapters as part of our text ‘The Wild Robot’.

WRITING

• We are learning to demonstrate our understanding of Suspense Narratives to write our own. 

MATHS

• We are learning to use grid reference maps. Name locations using grid references and give directions.

INQUIRY

• We are learning about visual programming.

WELLBEING

• We are learning to use games to talk about skills for problem solving.
• We are learning to show and demonstrate respect as a whole school community.
