SCHOOL TV | PARENT RESOURCE

We would like to remind families about SchoolTV, a free online wellbeing resource available to our Ramlegh Park community.

SchoolTV provides parents and carers with clear, practical information on a range of topics that support children’s wellbeing, including anxiety, friendships, school transitions, resilience, cyber safety, sleep, behaviour and many other areas that families may find helpful.

Each topic includes short videos, articles and practical strategies from trusted professionals, making it easy for families to access support and information when they need it.

We encourage all families to take some time to explore SchoolTV and see the range of resources available. It is a valuable tool that can help support conversations at home and strengthen the connection between school and family wellbeing support.

UNDERSTANDING BULLYING

At Ramlegh Park Primary School, every child has the right to feel safe, respected, included and supported.

Bullying is not just “playing around” or harmless fun. It happens when someone uses power to hurt, upset or exclude another person. This can happen through words, physical actions, social exclusion or online behaviour.

Racist bullying is also a serious form of bullying. It may include comments, jokes or actions about a person’s culture, religion, skin colour, language, accent, food, clothing or background. It can also include making someone feel like they do not belong.

At Ramlegh Park Primary School, we have zero tolerance for bullying in any form. Respect is one of our core school values, and we expect our students, staff and all members of our school community to show respect through their words, actions and the way they treat others.

Bullying is best addressed through a whole-school approach, including clear expectations, supportive classrooms, positive social skills, staff support and strong partnerships with families.

If your child shares concerns about bullying, please encourage them to speak with a trusted adult and contact the school so we can work together to support them.
