Dear Parents and Carers,
Positive Behaviour for Learning (PBL)
As you are aware, our core values are Respect, Responsibility and Safety. These values help guide the way we learn, work and interact with one another each day.
These are the child-friendly definitions we use with students:
Respect is treating others (and yourself) with kindness and value by acknowledging their feelings, listening to their ideas, and accepting them for exactly who they are.
Responsibility is taking ownership of your actions and following through on your commitments, even when nobody is watching.
Safety is the state of being protected from hurt, danger or risk by making smart choices and following rules that keep yourself and others out of harm’s way.
Our PBL focus for next week is demonstrating Respect, Responsibility and Safety after recess and lunch. It is important that students are showing these behaviours after play time so they are calm, organised and ready to learn when returning to class. Students will be encouraged to line up promptly, use kind words and actions, follow teacher instructions and transition back to learning spaces safely and respectfully.

Thank you for your ongoing support.
Walk Safely to School Day
Primary school-aged children across Australia will take important steps towards a healthier future by participating in National Walk Safely to School Day on Friday, 22 May 2026.
This initiative aims to raise awareness of the health, road safety, transport and environmental benefits that regular walking, or alternative active transport (especially to and from school) can provide for the long term well-being of our children, not just on 22 May, but every day.
We look forward to seeing many of you walk to school!

Please see below the tips on what to swap this fortnight!
