Preschool connection
This week Ms Hassall, Mrs Robinson and I had the pleasure of hosting our local preschool directors for a morning tea to talk about transition to school. It is always valuable to strengthen those relationships and ensure families moving from preschool into Kindergarten have a smooth and well-supported experience.
While our formal orientation program begins in Term 4, we are hosting a School Readiness Information Session and we would love to see you there if you have a child starting school in 2027. The evening is open to families already enrolled as well as prospective families from our local preschools. We encourage you to share this information session with friends and family.
When: Wednesday 24 June 5:30pm to 6:30pm

2026 Ku-Ring-Gai Zone Cross Country Carnival
On Tuesday, 39 students proudly represented CPS at the 2026 Ku-Ring-Gai Zone Cross Country Carnival. Despite the wet weather, our students showed fantastic resilience and enthusiasm, competing against schools from across the zone. Well done to all our runners for their outstanding effort!
Special congratulations to Gary W, who placed third in the10-year boys' category and will advance to the Area competition.
We also commend Kodai A, who achieved 7th place in the 8/9 Boys category, Mei A, who secured 7th place in the 12/13 Girls category, and Jacquie B, who finished 7th in the 8/9 Girls category.

Year 1 student success
A special mention this week to some of our Year 1 students from Lizard who have recently added their artwork to the wall in my office. The finished pieces are wonderful, but it is the effort and care behind them that really stands out. Well done to Edward, Mila, Ada and Ruby, you should be very proud.
