Principal's Update

Good Afternoon all ...

It has been another productive fortnight at our school, with students highly engaged in their learning.  As part of our StepLab coaching program, I have been visiting classrooms for ‘drop-in’ observations. StepLab focuses on strengthening teaching practice through small, consistent improvements and coaching.  It has been a wonderful experience, and I value being part of the team of staff conducting these drop-ins which enable us all to continually improve our practice.

Enrolments close today, Friday May 22

As a reminder to our existing families, if you have a child who is due to begin school next year, please ensure an enrolment application is completed as soon as possible to assist with our planning.  Enrolments close tomorrow, Friday May 22.

Drive Through Pickup

I have noticed some cars joining the Gladstone Street drive-through at pick-up time in an unsafe manner.  If all spaces are full, please continue driving and rejoin the queue when it is safe to do so.  The same rule applies for those joining the Breen Street pick-up queue.  

Please do not stop with your vehicle extending into oncoming traffic.  

For safety and efficiency, parents are asked to remain in their cars at all times.  Vehicles will be moved through in groups of four at Gladstone Street and groups of three at Breen Street.  Thank you for your cooperation in helping keep everyone safe.

Mother's/Special Persons Day

It was wonderful to see so many of our mums and mother figures join us for our Mother’s Day celebrations.  Both the breakfast and Liturgy were very well attended, creating a warm and joyful sense of community across the morning.  We are sincerely grateful to our PFA volunteers for their outstanding efforts in preparing and hosting the breakfast, and also for their organisation of the Mother’s Day stall.  Their work provided a special opportunity for students to celebrate the important people in their lives and contributed greatly to the success of the occasion.
