Principals' Weekly Update

Dear Armadale Community
Cooking With Karen!
This week we were excited to introduce Prep A to our Kids Kitchen program. The children cooked up a storm, creating delicious dishes including Fruit Salad, Fried Rice Lettuce Cups, Ants on a Log, and Tomato Bruschetta. This wonderful experience would not have been possible without the support of Meagan, Kingsley, Yoka, Kathryn, Aylissa, Isabella and Lisa.
Throughout the session, the children developed many important skills such as knife safety, basic knife techniques, kitchen safety, table setting, and sustainability practices. The Preps were incredibly proud of their achievements and even delivered a special plate of food to me. After much discussion, the Prep A team voted Fruit Salad as the standout dish of the day.

Year 5/6 Life Saving Program at Port Melbourne Beach
The Year 5/6's are currently enjoying a wonderful Life Saving program today under the guidance of Life Saving Victoria. We have all heard about recent rescues and horrible situations when swimmers get into trouble in the bay and coastal waters. Unfortunately, the water quality wasn't as good as hoped for today, but Allira reports the students were still having a great time doing all the activities.
Consent for the Digital Technologies Agreement is due tomorrow!
A reminder to our community to please read through the Digital Technology Agreement with your child, which is still accessible on COMPASS and chat to them about the importance of being safe online and then please acknowledge this by giving your consent. Thank you for your assistance with this request.
What's Coming Up:
March 2nd - Preps finish at 2.30pm
March 2nd and 3rd - Year 2 swimming continues
March 9th - Public Holiday - Labour Day
