Message from Head of Primary
Courtney Hutton
Our College year has begun with excitement and many opportunities for students to settle quickly into the routine of a new school year. We have welcomed our two classes of Prep students to the College, as well as many new students to our Primary School. We also have a few new teachers who have joined our fabulous team. As we progress through the year, I encourage everyone to become involved and partner together to make this a wonderful year.
There are many events happening in the Primary School this term, including new lunch clubs, Clean Up Australia Day, NAPLAN, sporting carnivals, leadership announcements, Harmony Day, and many more fun activities.
Our College theme this year is “Renewed.” The theme “Renewed” comes from Ephesians 4:23–24, where the apostle Paul encourages believers “to be made new in the attitude of your minds” and to “put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness.” This message reminds us that renewal starts from the inside out. It is about choosing growth over comfort, kindness over negativity, and faith over fear.
As a school community, embracing this theme challenges us to think differently, act with integrity, and reflect Christ’s character in our words, actions, and relationships each day. Students have already begun learning about this process, and as we continue to grow. I am excited to see renewed passion, excitement, and a deepening of knowledge in all our Primary students.
