Sport
It has been a busy start to the year for Physical Education at St Andrews!
The Year 5/6s have started their summer interschool sports. We hosted Oakleigh South at our school last week for the first game of the term. Well done to the teams for all of their hard work and learning for the first round! We will continue to play other schools in our district this term and wish the students good luck in their games.

We have also been holding swimming trials for students in Years 3-6 who are interested in joining the St Andrews Swimming Team, which will go compete at our District Carnival on 4th March. Great work to the students on their hard work for their morning swimming before school!
The Year 3/4s have started their swimming program at Aquastar Moorabbin this week. They will finish their program next Thursday 26th February. Keep up the great work year 3/4s!
We are starting to introduce new clubs during recess and lunch times.
- The fitness club will run every Monday at 1:35pm, year levels will have a schedule of which days they are able to attend.
- Running club will be every Tuesday at 11am for Years 3-6.
- Ping pong club will be held on Wednesdays at 1:35pm in the hall - with a schedule for years 1-6.
Around the classroom we have been doing many different team building activities to establish the importance of listening, communication, and teamwork with our peers. We will use these skills throughout the year while learning new sports and games.
