Careers
Miss Helen Reiher, Head of Year 12 and Careers
The opportunity to complete work experience in 2026 is strongly encouraged for students in Year 10 and on occasion to students in Year 9. The purpose of work experience is to give students an insight into industry and the workplace.
When can my child undertake work experience?
Students are expected to complete work experience during the school holiday breaks. We do not have a designated time for students in Year 10 to complete work experience.
Deadlines to return paperwork to Mrs McMullen:
26 March – for Term One holiday break
22 June – for Term Two holiday break
7 September – for Term Three holiday break
27 November – students can complete work experience up until 18/12/26
How is work experience arranged?
The first step is for the student to approach a business or workplace and ask if they would accept a work experience student. It is best if the student is involved in this step and considers careers or work that they feel they may be interested in.
The student needs to complete an online OH and S module. The certificate of completion needs to be returned to Mrs McMullen.

A work placement arrangement form needs to be completed by the student, parents and workplace, and returned to Mrs McMullen.
