From the Principal
Last week, we finished off our return to school Quality Beginnings program and this week classes have focused on new learnings for 2026. Whilst some students may be coming home talking about the learning being more challenging, this is a strategic move to see what students already know and what they still need to learn. I hope you all enjoy reading about the learning of our students in this week's newsletter.
As some of you may have heard, from the excited students, the basketball court cover has been completed, and the ninja warrior course development has began. The students can't wait for this to be completed, as it looks so exciting.
The School Council convened last Tuesday for our February meeting. During the meeting, it was noted that we are seeking to recruit at least four new members. Participating in the School Council provides a valuable opportunity to be involved in your child's education. We meet on the second Tuesday of each month, where we discuss various aspects of the school and provide parents with the opportunity to contribute to decision-making processes. If you are interested in learning more, please feel free to contact me.
From Parents and Friends
We’re looking for parents, guardians, grandparents or friends of any current student who would like to get involved!
Some of our incredible helpers from past years have now sent their kids off to high school, which means we have some big shoes to fill.
In 2025, we had an amazing year, raising over $15,000 to help bridge funding gaps for major projects — including subsiding camps, swimming, excursions and the full cost of the Life Ed program.
We’re not asking for a huge commitment — just a helping hand at events like the Mother’s and Father’s Day stalls, the Special Persons Breakfast, the Beaufort Show, and more.
As we’re no longer a formal committee, there are no meetings to attend and no positions to fill. Most of our organising happens via Messenger, where we book times and share fundraising ideas. We’d love to have you join us!
