Year 1/2 Fauna Park Excursion

In week 8, our Year 1 and 2 learners enjoyed an exciting excursion to Kyabram Fauna Park as part of their learning about Australian animals. During the visit, learners had the opportunity to read their fact files in front of the animals they had chosen to research, proudly sharing the information they had written with their classmates and teachers.
It was a wonderful experience that helped bring their classroom learning to life and deepen their understanding of Australia’s unique wildlife. Here are some of their recounts they have written about the excursion.
Yesterday, we had a school trip to the Fauna Park. Firstly, I saw the meerkats. Then I saw two fluffy, sleepy koalas in the trees. Next, we saw Bob the wombat. He was big and furry. After that we went into the reptile habitat. There were lots of snakes. My favourite part was playing on the playground. When we walked back to school my legs were so tired! I had a great day!
