Religious Education
Congratulations to our Year 6 students who celebrated the Sacrament of Confirmation last Thursday afternoon in a beautiful Mass. It was a special occasion for our students and families as students received the gifts of the Holy Spirit and continued their faith journey.
We thank Fr Desmond for leading the celebration, and sincerely thank the Year 6 staff for their preparation, support and care of our students throughout the Confirmation program.

As part of celebrating the Feast of the Sacred Heart, our Social Justice and SRC students will be leading a Winter Appeal to support a local charity. Over the next few weeks, students will be collecting donations in the mornings to help those in need during the colder months.
Families are invited to support this important initiative by donating suitable non-perishable food and essential items. Donations will be collected until our Feast of the Sacred Heart Mass on 11 June. We thank our community for supporting this wonderful act of service and compassion.
Religious Education in the Classrooms
Over the last few weeks in Religious Education, students have been learning about the Ascension and Pentecost, exploring the ways Jesus remained present with his disciples through the gift of the Holy Spirit.
Next week, classes will begin their new units of work. Foundation students will focus on Mary, the Mother of Jesus. Year 1 and Year 2 students will explore different images of God. Students in Years 3, 4 and 5 will begin learning about stories from the Old Testament, while Year 6 students will continue their Confirmation unit, focusing on the Gifts of the Holy Spirit.
Sacrament Dates – 2026
Over the next few weeks, our Year 4 students will begin preparing for the Sacrament of First Communion. Through their sacramental program, students will learn more about the Eucharist and the importance of sharing in Jesus’ love at Mass. We keep our Year 4 students and their families in our prayers as they take this special step in their faith journey.
