stationary from other suppliers.
Class teachers will be sending home any excess booklist stock for your child during Week 7. You will then be able to decide the items you do need to order.
If you would like to donate any excess tock to our school for students needing items, please drop them off at the office. They will be distributed discreetly by the Wellbeing Team.
SUNSMART-UNIFORM-CONSISTENT RULES
We are very proud of our school and work hard to uphold the rules of our school. Consistent rules we are working at include:
-Blue Carpet Area-Drop and Go Zone, No Play Area—no students or parents ot be waiting in there before 8.55am
-Classes to line up respectfully at 8.55
-Morning Circles at 9am to set up the expectations for the day
-SunSmart hats are expected to be worn. From September until May, no hat means no play. This means that students without a hat will have to stay in the shade. Students do need a hat for sport and PE. We are committed to protecting our students from harmful sunrays so each Thursday we are doing a hat check. Students without a hat will have a COMPASS Out of Uniform notification.
ADDITIONAL FOOD
We have seen an increase in the number of students coming to the staffroom for a sandwich or additional food. Teachers generally spot if a child has no lunch by recess and will contact the parent. If we do have a hungry student we will make them a basic sandwich and send you a notification on COMPASS so you know. Please let us know if your family needs any support with additional food so we can help.
POSITIVE BEHAVIOURS
You may have noticed we’ve opened another portal in COMPASS so we can send you home a Positive Notification when we catch someone doing the right thing. Please do celebrate with your child how proud you are of them as we are only sending a few a day.
*Bella keeps reminding us of behaviours we want to see—give smiles, be kind, be respectful.
*BREAKFAST CLUB – EATING ZONE—Students will be reminded to eat their Breakfast Club goodies in the prep oval/courtyard area. Our goal is to minimise rubbish in the yard. They can put fruit/Messy Monkeys in their bag if they want to eat it at recess.
Remember to thank our lovely volunteers!

ON-SITE PSYCHOLOGIST
We have private practitioner, psychologist Meaghan Morley, working out of our school one day a week on a Thursday. We understand how difficult it is to get students to appointments out of school hours, and the long waiting lists people face. Thus, we feel very fortunate that we are able to offer you this service. Meaghan completes a range of assessments including cognitive, behavioural and educational at a competitive cost. Prices start at $500. A copy of the fees available upon request. If you would like more information, please speak with Luana Lane in the Student Support Office.
FUN IN THE YARD Year 5 Play Leaders and Helping Hub students are in the junior school courtyards each lunchtime offering an array of activities and games for them to participate in.
