Year 9/10 Commerce Excursion

Last week, Year 9 and 10 Commerce students had the opportunity to bring their classroom studies to life during an excursion to Altina Wildlife Park in Darlington Point. As part of their exploration of the topic Travel, students have been investigating local tourism hotspots and examining the economic and social benefits that tourism brings to regional areas.

The excursion allowed students to delve deeper into these concepts by experiencing a key attraction firsthand. At Altina Wildlife Park, the students participated in an engaging guided cart tour, gaining insights into the park’s animals, and its role in promoting conservation and regional tourism. Students were also able to explore the walk-through exhibition at their leisure.

The excursion not only provided a memorable learning experience but also inspired students to think critically about the potential of local tourism and how they can contribute to promoting their region. Thank you to the staff members that helped supervise the day.
