Dear Families,
Sadly, exhaustedly but grateful we come to another end of what has been a great school year. We have so much to be thankful for - amazing staff, supportive parents, great students and a school community that band together to get things done.
A huge thank you to Lou Roberts and our wonderful P and F who have yet again done so much for our school- calendars, cake stalls, rowing regattas and raffles - all money raised to help maintain our school. With 12 new families coming on board next year it all is much easier if we can do our little bit and share the load. Next year we hope to have our market again which is a major fundraiser so all hands will need to be on deck ready to help!
To the amazing staff we have at St Joseph's - I cannot say enough about this group who go above and beyond every day to give your children the best education, experiences and joy! We look forward to another wonderful year in 2025 with more students, more learning and more excitement and adventure. Buckle up it's going to be big!
Exciting news - Miss Maddy had her baby girl: Sally Rose Robertson. Everyone is doing well and we can't wait to meet her and give her lots of cuddles.
The anticipation of the Colour Run was certainly a hit with the students - with the fundraising goal being met, $5000 and three staff and one student being slimed. The students and parents who attended had a great time last Friday hearing the squeals of delight as students and staff were squirted with dye and water - creating a great mess!
Uniting Outside School Hours Care have been a fabulous asset to our school this year providing care for our working parents who need it. If this is something you may need to use next year (this could also be casual)please register with them now as it helps them prepare with staffing etc. If you have any questions please don't hesitate to contact them for more information.
We welcome Aahn (Year 1) and his parents Sue and Ash to St Joseph's community. We hope you love our school as much as we do.
Sarah is busy in the office preparing all the necessary paperwork for student numbers for the the end of the year/new year. If you are intending to leave St Joseph's and attend a different school in 2025 could you please let her know to assist her with her work.
Finally I can share some great news that Maddie Ginn, who many of you may know from Nagambie kindergarten, will be joining our team next year as a Learning Support Officer. Maddie will work 2 days a week and has years of experience in early childcare. She is also currently studying to become a teacher. What a great asset she will be to our already amazing team! I know you will welcome her with open arms!
The office will be open from Monday 20th January to Thursday 23rd for uniforms, fees or any queries you may have.
Have a wonderful holiday everyone.
Take care and stay safe,
Maree
