Things to know

The community members of Launching Place Primary School acknowledge the traditional owners, the Kulin nations, of the land on which we learn and play.

We pay respects to the Aboriginal Elders, past and present, who are our teachers.

We thank them for taking care of children and country for countless generations.

  Breakfast Club runs every Wednesday and Thursday from 8.10 - 8.40 (limited menu after 8.30).  All welcome!

Parent helpers are most welcome to pop in and give a lending hand. Thank You To Esme for all 

EVENTS-Excursions

Please ensure that you provide consent for any upcoming excursions prior to the specified closing date. Once bookings with venues and transportation have been confirmed, and staffing ratios established, it is typically not possible to accommodate late additions. Changes after these arrangements are finalized may disrupt our planning. If you have any financial concerns regarding an excursion, we encourage you to reach out before the closing date to discuss potential options.

School Council

Two school council meeting to go Monday 25th November and our final School Council meeting for 2024 will be held at school on Monday, 16th December. I would like to take this opportunity to acknowledge the contributions of all members to our school and thank them for their ongoing support.

The council comprises the following parent/carer members: Melissa Jones retired President  and Emma Roberts stepping into the role as President for the remaining of the year, Annie Tinkler, Gemma Wynd, Rebecca Vanest, , as well as school staff: Laura Caddy, Brydie Tatterson, Katherine Bolton, Audrey Watt.

Donations for Benwerren

Request for Donations This Christmas season let’s come together in the true spirit of Christmas and support members of our local community who are in need. We’re collecting non-perishable food items and small gifts for Benwerren, a local charity dedicated to helping families facing hardship. Your generous donations will make a meaningful difference in the lives of those who need it most. Please drop off your contributions at the school office. Together, we can spread joy and make this holiday season brighter for everyone! Items can be dropped at Launch PS office up until Thursday 12th December. Thank you.
