Exciting News: 2024 School Performance Updates

In 2024, the method for reporting school performance has been updated to better align with the Framework for Student Outcomes (FISO) 2.0. The new School Performance Report now places equal focus on both Learning and Wellbeing —two key areas essential to the overall growth and development of our students. The report also includes an updated set of student outcome measures, offering a more balanced and comprehensive view of how schools are progressing in supporting both academic achievement and student wellbeing.

We are thrilled to announce that Launching Place Primary School has received outstanding results in this updated report. We are excited to share that we are ‘IMPROVING’ in both the Learning and Wellbeing areas!

This success is a direct reflection of the hard work and dedication of our staff, the enthusiasm and commitment of our students, and the continuous support we receive from our parents.

These results are a wonderful achievement for our entire school community, and we would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who plays a part in our students’ success. Together, we are helping to create a positive and thriving learning environment for all.

Reminder: Warburton Bike Ride – Friday, 13th December

The annual Warburton Bike Ride is fast approaching! Students in Years 3 to 6 are invited to join us for this exciting event on Friday, 13th December. This is a wonderful opportunity for students to participate in the traditional bike ride, but please remember the following important details:

- No electric bikes or scooters – only traditional bikes with working brakes (BMX-style bikes are not recommended).

- Be sure to practice ahead of time to ensure your stamina is ready for the ride!

- Essential items: A helmet, water, snacks, and sunscreen (please apply sunscreen before arriving at school and bring your own to reapply during the day).

- Clothing: Dress in light, comfortable clothing, but aim to cover up to avoid excessive UV exposure.

We are looking for parent volunteers to assist with vehicle support, supervising road crossings, team BBQ setup and cook and to ride along with us.  A google form will be sent out to families shortly gather info/preferences of helpers.

We’re looking forward to another great ride, so make sure to prepare and get ready for an adventure!

A Big Thank You to Esme for Her Support of the Breakfast Club

We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Esme for her outstanding volunteer work with the Breakfast Club this year. Esme has been a dedicated and dependable presence, helping to ensure that our students start their day off right with a warm breakfast and a welcoming environment. Her commitment to our students and school has been invaluable, and we are incredibly grateful for the time and effort she has devoted to this important program.

Breakfast Club is open every Wednesday and Thursday from 8:10 AM. It’s a great way for students to gather, enjoy a nutritious breakfast, and be ready for the school day ahead. We encourage families to take advantage of this wonderful opportunity.

Thank you once again, Esme, for your dedication and support. We truly appreciate everything you do for our students and our school community!

Prep Information Evening – Thursday, 6:00 - 7:00 PM

We are excited to remind our community that the Prep Information Evening is happening this Thursday night from 6:00 to 7:00 PM. This is an important event for all families with children starting Prep in the upcoming year, as well as for those with older siblings already at the school.

The evening will provide valuable information about the Prep program, what to expect in the year ahead, and the support we offer to ensure a smooth transition into school. It's also a wonderful opportunity to meet other families and ask any questions you may have.

We warmly encourage new families joining us, as well as those with older siblings, to attend. Whether you're new to the school or already part of our community, we look forward to seeing you there!
