Principal's Report

We, at Miners Rest Primary School, would like to acknowledge the Wadawurrung people of the Kulin Nation.

We pay our respects and thank the Wadawurrung people.

May we share your land. We promise to look after it, as well as the animals and people too.

Student Leadership

We are moving quite rapidly towards the end of year processes that will set us up for a successful 2025, including class structures and placement staffing, curriculum and program planning, just to name a few. One of the most important processes that we undertake in the next few weeks is nomination and election processes of the 2025 Student Leaders.

We are looking forward to House Captains delivering their speeches on Thursday at 11:30 am to their Sporting House Team. Students nominating for School Captain positions will deliver their speeches to staff and the Years 3-6 students on Friday between 11:30 am and 1:30 pm. We wish all of our students in these processes all the very best.

Art Show

We have enjoyed the final day of the Art Show and masterpieces have been pulled from display and returned to the artists. I would like to express our gratitude to Deirdre Bleicher as the curator of this sensational event. Thank you to all of our staff who supported the set-up and pack-up. And, most importantly a special thank you to our artists and our school community for making the MRPS Art Show so very, very successful. Thank you!

Next up...

Year 2 Camp Experience this Friday.

Slime the Teacher next Friday.

Have a great end to yet another week of Term Four!

Kind regards,
