LRC News
During the month of November, we have a small group of dedicated students who are participating in NANOWRIMO. This is the National Novel Writing Month initiative. Students come together at lunchtimes in the LRC and work on writing their own novel. They can write about any topic of their choice and are encouraged to write at least 5,000 words. We come together to share ideas and support each other with our writing.
On the 12th of November, we had a visit from Mandy Ord, a Melbourne based graphic artist. She shared about her career as a graphic artist and some of her best tips for successful drawing. Junior students did small group drawing workshops with her. It was great to see students’ being creative and inspired by a local author.
More recently, we had a presentation for the most committed and enthusiastic TLA's of the year, Naheda & Sofia. We also presented journals & pens to all the writers who participated by writing their own novel in November.
As we get closer to the end of the year, please return any books you have read or that are overdue. We are now promoting borrowing for the holidays.
