House Recycling Competition Final Result

After 6 weeks of CDS collection in the Houses and the Year 9 Youth Development Outdoor focus students spending time to collect and count the items... we have a WINNER!!!

The final results are:    Fern - 307

                                           Darwinia - 250

                                           Eucalyptus -132

                                           Callistemon - 108

                                           Grevillea - 52

                                           Hakea - 40

                                           Banksia - 19

Fern will now receive some sporting equipment and decide which environmental charity will receive a donation of funds raised. The best reward is knowing that the bottles, cans and juice boxes which were retrieved from waste bins and grounds will not end up in landfill or the ocean but will be recycled. Hopefully you read the posters around the school explaining the problems with incorrect recycling and litter ending up in our oceans and will consciously make sure to recycle correctly in the future.
