"Nani wo tabemasuka? (What do you eat?)"
"Ocha wo nomimasu ka? (Do you drink green tea?)"
These are some of the sentences Year 7 students have learned while studying food and drink topics in their recent Japanese lessons. After successfully completing their CAT tasks for this topic, on 6th December, the 7H Japanese class participated in an excursion to Dandenong Plaza, where they had the opportunity to sample authentic Japanese sushi, including Norimaki, Maguro, and California rolls.
As the saying goes, "seeing is believing," eating is believing! It was a wonderful cultural experience where students not only enjoyed Japanese food, but also consolidated their skills in expressing food and drinks in Japanese.
Well done, 7H, yokudekimashita!

Two Year 10 Commerce classes (10COM4B and 10COM8) recently participated in a "Talk Money" workshop provided by the Ecstra Foundation on 31st October. Led by external facilitator Karlis Zaid, the workshop covered essential financial literacy topics, including understanding payslips, managing fair work entitlements, navigating tax and superannuation, and making wise financial decisions. Both classes engaged enthusiastically, actively participating and showcasing a positive representation of Dandenong High School. This experience helped students enhance their financial literacy skills, equipping them with knowledge crucial for their future financial well-being.
