Year 2/3
In PDHPE, students have been working on building resilience by exploring the key themes of empathy, gratitude, and friendship, using activities from The Resilience Project. Through engaging discussions, they have learned what empathy looks like in action, offering real-life examples of how to show care and understanding for others.
One of the highlights was writing poems that reflect on gratitude, friendship, and the emotions that shape our lives. Students reflected on what makes people feel happy or sad and brainstormed simple yet impactful ways to lift others up when they’re feeling down.
By putting themselves in the shoes of others, students have gained a deeper understanding of how to connect with and support their peers, creating a more compassionate and resilient school community. These activities have not only fostered emotional awareness but also empowered students to take positive actions in their relationships, both inside and outside the classroom.
