A Heartfelt Thank You

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who attended our Presentation Evening. I’m sure you would agree that it was a truly special occasion — a wonderful opportunity for us to come together as a faith-filled community, share in the sacrament of the Eucharist, and enjoy a meal together.

This evening also served as a meaningful reminder of the hard work and dedication that goes on throughout the year. It’s important that we take the time to acknowledge and celebrate the individual and collective successes of our students.

As always, our students conducted themselves with grace and dignity. They continue to be a source of pride for all who are part of their lives — their families, friends, and teachers alike.

Thank you once again for being part of such a special and meaningful event.

Reflections on My Time as Acting Principal

I have been truly blessed to have had the opportunity to serve as Acting Principal during Mr. Francis’s well-earned Long Service Leave. As this time comes to a close, I’ve spent some time reflecting on the question: What makes our little school such a wonderful place to educate children?

Throughout this time, I’ve been continually asked to reflect on both the successes we’ve achieved and the opportunities for improvement within All Saints’, as part of our ongoing planning for the future. I have been truly amazed by all that we have accomplished in 2024. While many families are aware of these achievements, I’d like to share a few thoughts in case you’d like to learn more.

How You Can Stay Involved and Informed?

If you’ve ever asked yourself, How can I be more involved and informed about my child’s education? — here are a few simple suggestions:

  • Keep an eye on Compass — for news updates and upcoming events.
  • Follow our public calendar — available on the All Saints Primary School website.
  • Check the newsletter — both current and past issues can be found on our website.
  • Join or attend P&F meetings — held once a term. These meetings offer a forum to hear what is happening first-hand in our school from the principal, have input into future projects, share your skills and expertise with the school and meet like-minded members of our school community.  New members are always welcome!
  • Contact your teacher — if you have any concerns or suggestions, feel free to reach out via email or by making an appointment through the front office. Teachers highly value your input, as they know you are the best advocate for your child.

Looking Ahead

Congratulations to all of you for guiding your children through another year of education. For some, this was their first year of formal education, while for others, it was their last year of primary school — a stepping stone toward future endeavours. I have every confidence that All Saints has prepared all our students for a successful 2025.

Enjoy the holiday break with your families, and I look forward to seeing everyone (minus our Year 6 students) in 2025.

God Bless,

Jemima Middleton
