Italian Day

EVPS had a fantastic time celebrating Italian Day on Friday the 22nd of November! The day was filled with fun, learning and excitement, as students explored the culture, language, and traditions of Italy.

The highlight of the day was a lively performance in the Multipurpose Hall which took us on an adventure through Rome. The show featured a Vespa, lots of singing, dancing, and even some teachers got to join in on the fun on stage. It was a great way for everyone to experience the sights and sounds of Italy!

At lunchtime, the friendly rivalry continued with an exciting Year 5 versus Year 6 soccer game. The Year 6s took home the win with a thrilling 7-3 victory, but both teams showed excellent sportsmanship and teamwork.

Throughout the week, students also participated in a variety of fun activities, including a scavenger hunt and a colouring-in competition. These activities were a great way to learn more about Italian language and culture while having fun with classmates. The winners will be announced shortly.

In the classrooms, the fun continued! Students worked with their teachers on special activities that helped bring the celebration to life.

Students also dressed in the Italian colours or as an Italian icon, showing off their creativity and spirit.

It was a wonderful day filled with laughter, learning, and a little bit of Italian magic! We can’t wait for next year’s Italian Day!
