Dear Families,
Apologies for not getting the newsletter out last week, time seems to be running away from us. It's scary to think we are half way through the final term of the year now.
This week will be the final transition session for the Foundation class of 2025. It has been a joy to get to know the children and watch new friendships start to grow. They will learn which class they will be in on Thursday and I'm not sure who is more excited, the children or their parents. Thank you to those existing families who have children starting school with us for helping to make our new families feel welcome. There has been a real buzz in the staffroom as conversations around shared experiences have taken place over coffee.
This is a friendly reminder that tomorrow is Japanese Day. The children are invited to wear Japanese-themed clothing. The day will start with a parade allowing the children to showcase their costumes and a very special performance from our Taiko Drummers. Families are warmly invited to come and join the festivities, we will be meeting at 9.00 in the school hall.
We have reached the time of year when we look at class placements for 2025. The staff will soon be collaborating to create class lists. If your child is in Foundation through to year 5 and is not returning to St Therese's next year, please confirm this with us as soon as possible.
Have a great week!
