Miss Marks' Message
Hello everyone,
It has been a busy two weeks at Teesdale Primary School as we welcomed back our Middle School Campers, enjoyed a Zooper Dooper on Friday afternoons, welcomed our 2025 Foundation students for their first transition session and you may have noticed some temporary fencing has been installed near the Junior School Building.
Construction at School
As part of the Early Learning Centre works that was shared with our school community earlier this year, a new septic system is being constructed. The works on this project began last week with temporary fencing placed along the staff carpark boundary and far side of our oval. We can expect the contractors onsite most days, they have their own facilities and their vehicles will be parked inside the fenced area. The new septic is a welcome replacement for our current one that has needed a lot of maintenance works.
Following the septic's completion, the Early Learning Centre construction will begin. The Early Learning Centre will be located on where our current school oval is, and a new school oval, soccer pitch and staff carpark will be constructed on the block next door recently acquired by the Department of Education.
Middle School Camp
Almost two weeks ago, we welcomed our Middle School students and staff back from Camp Wyuna near Queenscliff. I have heard so many stories about their wonderful time away in the sunshine. I have included some student anecdotes about camp later in the newsletter. Thank you very much to the staff who attended the camp to support our students.
Reminders
This Friday will be our third opportunity to enjoy a Zooper Dooper during the second break so please don't forget to bring your 50 cents. Thank you very much to the Parents' Club and parent volunteers who have helped us with this event.
Also, a reminder that Friday November 29 is a scheduled Curriculum Day and therefore a student free day.
Enjoy your week,
Chelsey
Camp feedback from our Middle School students
My favourite part of camp was ...
-getting to spend time with my friends
-the sand castle competition
-definitely boogie boarding!
-making pizza
-playing in the gaga pit.
At camp, I learnt...
-that I don't need to worry if I'm away from my family because I am safe
-that I can do new things and try new things
-how to make pizza dough
-how to play a full game of gaga
-that camp is super fun!
Next time I am at camp, I need to remember...
-to keep my stuff neat
-to wear more sunscreen
-to have fun!
-to brush my teeth.
