Learning & Teaching in Prep

Our amazing Prep class had the incredible opportunity to attend Fire Education sessions over the past two weeks, where they learned so much about fire prevention and safety. The sessions were packed with valuable information, covering everything from fire hazards to the importance of smoke alarms and emergency plans. The students were completely engaged, asking thoughtful questions, and listening intently, the firefighters couldn’t help but comment on how bright and curious they are!

One of the highlights was getting hands-on experience with a big fire extinguisher, where they practised aiming and using it safely. To top it off, they were thrilled to explore a real fire truck, learning about the different equipment and even seeing where the firefighters sit during an emergency call. It was an exciting, fun-filled experience that also taught them important life skills. We are incredibly grateful to the firefighters for their time and dedication in teaching our students such vital safety lessons!
