We will have a small selection of books, magazines, and games available for students to borrow/use. We will also be opening the classroom next door for students to use at recess and lunchtimes. Dayuse Laptops will also be available, however there will not be a printer – for any printing or copying needs, students will need to use the colour printer located in T-Wing (outside T12 and T13).

Book of the Week

  The Stars Did Wander Darkling

by Colin Meloy

Archie and his friends Ollie, Chris, and Athena, think they’re in for a quiet summer of horror movies and camping when odd things begin happening around their sleepy seaside town of Seaham.

Archie’s dad runs a construction company that has been hired to dig out a cliff below a creepy abandoned mansion, and soon after they start his dad starts behaving strangely. When Archie and his friends go camping in the woods, they are disturbed by the constant sound of somebody chopping wood. Worse, Ollie begins having visions, and Chris goes missing from their campsite.

The Stars Did Wander Darkling is a spine-chilling story that builds in tension all the way through. The isolation that Archie and his friends find themselves in feels all too real, and there are some exciting twists and turns in the story that leave you wanting more.

Recommended for those who love mystery with a paranormal twist, The Stars Did Wander Darkling is a great read for all ages!
