🎉ST JOSEPH'S FETE VOLUNTEER LIST 🎉
Thank you to Bernadette and our Senior Students for leading a heartfelt and memorable Remembrance Day Service yesterday. The respect and reverence shown by everyone throughout the service truly honoured the occasion.
Â
All parents and carers are welcome to attend the Annual Review Meeting of the SAC on Wednesday, November 20, at 7:00pm in the staff room. This is a great opportunity to share in the review of 2024 and the successes we have achieved.Â
Good luck to the following children who will be sitting their Music Exams next Monday - November 25. Â I have no doubt that under the guidance of Ashley from Mad on Music, you'll all be very successful.
Â
We are thrilled to announce that our wonderful team of outside Clinicians will continue to work with us in supporting our students in 2025. Both Lauren, an Occupational Therapist from Connecting OT and Carla, a Speech Pathologist from Dee Wardrop are private providers that work onsite at St Joseph’s.Â
Â
Currently, Lauren and Carla work at St Joseph’s on a fortnightly basis, however if there are more families that would like to access these services onsite at school in 2025, both Lauren and Carla are able to increase their services to allow more students to be seen.
Â
Please let our Wellbeing and Learning Diversity Leader, Bella: bzacharioudakis@sjnorthcote.catholic.edu know as soon as possible if you are interested in your child seeing either Lauren, the Occupational Therapist or Carla, the Speech Pathologist at school next year. That way we are able to finalise they days and times for both Lauren and Carla for 2025.Â

Below is an information package that you can download from Dee Wardrop
Good luck to the following children who will be representing St Joseph's in the VICTORIAN SCHOOLS SPORTS ASSOCIATION - REGIONAL FINALS SOFTBALL COMPETITION.
This is a huge accomplishment - the winners of this competition will go on to compete at a State Level.
Next week, on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, we will welcome our new preps! Â Next year we have 34 preps, so we will have two classes of 17. Â The sessions will run from 9:00am - 10:45am, and the current preps will be supervised in the Digi-tech/Mandarin room. Â On Friday our new preps will meet their new 'Buddies' - an event that our grade four students have been looking forward to from day 1 this year!! Â
Please make an appointment with me if you wish to discuss any concerns you may have that may impact your child/children’s class placement for next year. This may include particular social nuances with other students or any other extenuating circumstances.Â
Â
Please be aware that this is not an opportunity for ‘teacher shopping’, but rather an opportunity to share genuine concerns about your child’s learning environment for 2025.Â
Â
If you are not intending to return to St Joseph’s in 2025 please contact the office as soon as possible
Â
Everyone is welcome to join us for our end-of-year Mass which will be held on Tuesday December 10 at 9:15am. Â During this Mass, we will be farewelling families leaving our community, excluding the grade six graduating class families, who will be recognized at the Graduation Mass on Friday, December 13.
Â
Each year the Parish hosts a special Christmas Day Mass on Christmas Eve and we are asking for parents (or older teenage siblings) to volunteer to assist on the evening. Â This involves helping with the activity in which children dress as characters from the Nativity scene and process into the church during the Gospel. Â There is normally one practise session in the week before Christmas, in the Church. Â All the costumes etc are provided by the school. Â If you are able to assist with this please let me know. Â Thank you in advance!
