GENERAL INFORMATION (1 of 1)
STUDENT FREE DAY
Please note that there is no school for students on Friday, 22nd November (curriculum day).
OHSC program WILL be running for the full day.
SUN SMART INFORMATION
Don't forget your drink bottle!
Exposure to the sun’s UV during childhood and adolescence has a big impact on skin cancer risk – but it’s almost entirely preventable with good sun protection:
SLIP on sun protective clothing
SLOP on SPF50+ broad spectrum water-resistant sunscreen
SLAP on a wide brim, bucket or legionnaire hat
SEEK shade when outdoors
SLIDE on sunglasses, where practical
Daily temperatures should not be used as a guide to when sun protection is needed. When the temperature is cool, it means there is less infrared radiation, but UV levels can still be high. You can check the UV level forecast here.
As the weather begins to warm up, we ask that families ensure to please pack one or two full drink bottles to school each day.
Students are permitted to take a water bottle in to their classes with them.
2025 BHCS FEES SCHEDULE

IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR BUS USERS

- Travel on an alternative bus for social engagements is not permissible.
- Casual bus use (for school friends to travel with the bus user) is not available.
Should families experience an emergency they are encouraged to email buses@bhcs.vic.edu.au or contact student services. In cases of emergency, where room is available, the School will work with families to find the most suitable arrangement.

READING CHALLENGE: Over the holidays the Discovery Centre ran the school's inaugural Holiday Reading Challenge, where students earned house points for reading a book, and bonus points for writing a review. We were so impressed by the creativity of the reviews! Marunari came first, Wattle second, Yarra was third and Sherbrooke fourth. The winner of a $10 cafe voucher for participating was Lennox M. Congratulations to everyone involved - keep up the great reading!
