Basketball and Soccer Clinics - by Sam 3/4L

Hello families. Last week we had a soccer clinic and a basketball clinic. In our soccer clinic, the coaches showed us how to practise skills and challenged us to do some really hard drills. Then after that, we played a little game. The ending score was 1-0. Blue team won, but it doesn't really matter. For the basketball clinic, Baylen (the person who was teaching us) had us get to know stuff like passing. There were four types of passes: an over the head pass, floor pass, chest pass, and a silly pass. It was super fun and we all had a great time!

VCOP Writing - by Braiden 3/4L

Last week, we did a Big Write about a crime scene. There were five clues: footprints, a visitor tag, money, a suitcase with files and a scrunched up piece of paper. We put the clues in a Big Write, or a story, about the crime. I found this a bit hard because I had to put in a lot of detail, but I was really proud of my story.

Water Safety - by Ema 3/4L

Yesterday, we went to PARC to learn about water safety. We learned DRSABC, how to save someone from the water, and what to do when we are in the ocean. After that, we got free time to go on the waterslides and to play all together. We all had a fantastic day yesterday, but we were quite tired when we got back home.
