Week 5 Term 4
We're approaching the half way mark of term 4 already! There are still plenty of great events, activities and experiences to come. This past week has been full of lots of fun and learning.
At the beginning of Week 4 Baylin from Frankston Blues Basketball Club came to SFX to run a clinic with the students to teach them a few basic skills about basketball. The weather was kind, the sun was shining and we had a great time playing some games and learning some dribbling, passing and shooting. Thanks Baylin!
On Tuesday of Week 4 Brendan and Stu from Baxter Soccer Club came to SFX to teach the students some basic fundamentals of soccer. We're so thankful that Brendan and Stu gave up their time to come to SFX and teach us some skills! Maybe some of the students might like to join a local team?
Kelly came to run two sessions with the class for Body Education. The students were very responsive to Kelly's ground rules and were very respectful of each other in the discussions that we had. For the students who attended the sessions, we spoke about how we are the same and different and how we are unique in different ways. Kelly spoke about different systems within the body including the Reproductive system. The students learnt about correct terms to call the different parts of the reproductive system and learnt some things about the human body in a safe and secure environment.
Yesterday we attended our annual water safety day at PARC swimming pool. We learnt many water safety tips and strategies. It's such a fun day!
