Year 9 Update
As we commence the final term of the year, the Year 9 cohort has chosen “Horizons” as their Word of the Term. For them, this word represents new beginnings, the anticipation of fresh experiences, and the excitement of looking ahead to the future. It encapsulates their spirit of growth as they embrace the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead.
Last Tuesday I went with the Year 9s on their Humanities field trip which was focused on Melbourne’s economic history. The day began with a guided walking tour of the Melbourne CBD, where they explored key historical landmarks and learned how these have influenced the city’s development. After the tour, the students boarded the colourful Hello Kitty bus to Chadstone Shopping Centre. Here, they mapped out various retail outlets and gained valuable insights into how retail contributes to the economy. The cohort would like to thank Mr Hill for organising such a fun day!
Looking forward, the term is filled with exciting activities. From the Year 9 Camp to the much-anticipated Year 9 and 10 Formal, we are set for a fun and memorable conclusion to the year. With “Horizons” leading the way, we are excited to embrace new experiences and celebrate our final term together!
